After our travels in Quartzsite, we did spend a week in New Mexico (not included in our video) at a private campground called Temperate Zone RV Park. It was very affordable and gave a place to work, catch up on laundry, play some pool on the side, and plan for the following week when we would go to Texas.
We drove to San Antonio, Texas to stay at our first Army Corps of Engineers Campground called Cranes Mill Park. It was great to be near water again; we hadn’t realized how much we missed it.
Although parking in downtown San Antonio is expensive, The Alamo was amazing and completely worth seeing. We enjoyed experiencing the history of this old fort and spent a while touring it before we decided to go to the riverwalk, which is directly across the street from The Alamo. This riverwalk is huge and is surrounded on all sides by local restaurants, hotels, and tiny shops. One hotel, in particular, was built with the river running through it. The place is decorated with lots of lights and, although we didn’t get to be there in the evening, we’re sure it must be incredibly beautiful at night.
Come with us next week as we enjoy much warmer weather and make some important RV-ing decisions for our future!

Very beautiful campground on a lake. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. You can’t send or receive mail here, however.
